An OBVERSE technique is performed using the same arm as the
leg that is most bent. A REVERSE technique is performed using the same arm as
the leg that is least bent, thus the opposite of obverse. If the left leg is
most bent then it is a left stance. If the right leg is most bent, then is it
a right stance. Saju Jirugi and Saju Makgi are exercises, they are NOT patterns.
White belt signifies innocence as that of a beginning student
who has no previous knowledge of the art.
